I still have time for a new TV show

Life is busy right now. I can't seem to fit everything in. Usually, I thrive in a really busy atmosphere. However, the complete opposite has happened. I am not accomplishing half of what I need to. These days I am soooo tired. Not to mention I am having back issues which makes me more lazy than normal. And the humidity is gross which keeps me indoors most of the day. Enough complaining on my blog....

With all my tiredness and laziness I have still found a way to fit in a new TV show. It is called Damages and it is so good. No, really! Click here to read more...I expect all of you to TIVO it or put it in your blockbuster queue.

One Whole Year

-One year ago today. Sorry about the blur-

Today marks a special anniversary. We moved into our house a year ago today. It has taken a total transformation. We once had red tile (like at McDonald's) in our entry and now we have nice hardwood floors. The house did smell like smoke...and now it smells pretty good (old houses have a charming "old house" smell). We are happy to live in such a great neighborhood with so many amenities in walking distance (Blockbuster, Mexican Grill, The Gap, Walgreen's, 7-11, parks, grocery store, trains).

Happy Anniversary Ray's Cute Old House!

Can hardly wait...

(She says "mommy" 24 hours a day...I love it!)

I am heading to see "Hairspray" tonight with Mrs. Dub. I think the last movie I saw in the theater was "The Waitress" back in May. I promised myself that I would not give up my favorite past time, going to the MOVIES, when I had kids. Well, I guess it happens without any warning. We get busy with "life" and we also think babysitters are soooo expensive ($10 an hour). Here I am getting a little giddy about going to a movie...can hardly wait!

I wonder if Mrs. Dub likes movie popcorn?

Works Everytime

(we missed each other while I was away)
I am still adjusting to my life here at home. I have no idea what my problem is, but I feel like I am in a fog. So, instead of posting about being tired, cranky, and tired (did I already mention that). I am going to share with you a yummy cookie recipe (I have more recipes here). This cookie recipe never fails me...NEVER. They are so soft and delish!
They have been approved by my famous friend too. And if she likes them, everyone will!

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/4 C Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 C Butter (softened)
1/4 C Sugar
3/4 C Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 (4 oz) chocolate instant pudding (or vanilla for a white cookie)
2 eggs
1 (12 oz) package of chocolate chips
pinch of salt

Mix flour and salt with baking soda and set aside. Combine butter, sugars, vanilla and pudding mix in a large bowl. Beat until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time. Gradually mix in flour mixture. Add chocolate chips. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

I'm Baaaack!

It was a fun, sweaty, dirty, and buggy week at girls camp. The food was amazing--seriously! We had a cook and a dining hall and screened in tents/cabins. I will no longer "rough it" like I did when I was a kid.
I came home with 6 mosquito bites, 3 pimples, and a big fat food baby (I ate too much).
I had a lot of fun with the girls and especially the girlies in my ward. Here are a few photos to prove it.My GirliesIf Jenn wants a mosquito net, that is fine. I had a battery operated fan!The Camp Queens

One Great Woman

I have never blogged, but while Rachel was out of town, I couldn't help but put a little something down in writing. (Hopefully she doesn't get mad at me because this is her space or because it embarrasses her.) This may get a little cheesy, so fair warning to any of you that don't like the mushy stuff---now is your time to stop reading. I wanted to take the opportunity (since she is away at girl's camp and can't stop me) to post how she is the most amazing woman to me.....being a genuinely good person, a terrific mom raising twins, working, taking care of the house, helping the young woman of the ward, and on top of all of that being the most fantastic wife. So, to my wonderful wife Rachel: "Do you want to know a secret?...Do you promise not to tell?...Closer...let me whisper in your ear...say the words you long to hear..............I'm in love with you!"
