The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

Chicago...
Some days I absolutely love it here. Other days I curse Ryan for bringing me to this place. I have put together a list of pros and cons...hopefully my optimistic side will win! I will add more as the day goes on.
Pros
-Many restaurants to choose from
-Beautiful weather for about 5 months out of the year
-Lots of mature trees
-Parks on almost every corner
-Always something to do (beach, zoo, gardens, downtown, shows, events, concerts, etc.)
- Nice and friendly folks
- Great shopping
- Fun new friends
- Visitors
- Hydrangeas are easy to grow
- Ryan loves his new job
- Traveling to east coast is easy and short (long shot)

Cons
- Weather changes at the drop of a hat. It was 80 degrees on Saturday and 40 degrees on Sunday
- Family and friends are not here
- No Cafe Rio (can't find one good Mexican place)
- Expensive (property taxes, gas, food)
- Squirrels (we have squirrels taking over our backyard)
- Big bugs (cicadas are due anytime...gross!)
- No cousins here for my kids o grow up with

Well it sounds like you should probably move back!

Just kidding. There are lots of reason to come back to Utah and lots for you to stay. When I come and visit I will tell you why I think you should stay put. BTW I LOVE the new blog design!

Cute blog! I like your pro and con list, I do that too. It is hard to be away from family and the Rio, but at least you are in Chicago (and not Eugene, OR). Put that on your pro side.

If I had it my way, you would move back.

Ahh. Cafe Rio. I have siblings who are also lamenting the loss of good mexican food. They even found a recipe that is pretty close, but still not as good. If you want the recipe post on my blog and I'll post it for you!

I hope I made it on the Pros. I think we have the exact same opinion of Chicago, but I am glad you are here. Another Pro is your cute house... gotta love that. I think you are more of a "Martha Stuart" than a "Rachel Ray". I just love your guts and I am glad you live in the expensive, freezing, cousinless, Windy City.
